In My Opinion...
Long in the Tooth has a special place in my heart. This was the first record store I visited once I decided to collect records from other places than the dollar bins at my local goodwill. During my first visit, I found the Jaws film score, and during my second visit I found the E.T. film score. These type of findings keep me coming back for more. I have yet to leave Long in the Tooth empty handed. The store isn't huge by anymeans, but they have a solid variety of genres, which keeps it interesting and new. The staff are helpful and quick to give recomendations or advice. Despite visitng many record stores in the area, Long in the Tooth remains to be one of my favorites due to it's wide selection of genres and knowledgeable staff. If you're starving after hours of digging, take a pit stop at Shake Shack and dig into a Shack burger and fries. You won't regret it, I promise.
What the people say...
I like the atmosphere there. You walk in and it feels like how a record store should feel like. They have a pretty extensive collection of new and used vinyl, and a surprisingly cool book selection. Everything is neat, and easy to find unless you're skimming through the dollar vinyl bin (but the fun is in the hunt). Everyone is friendly, and they're always playing cool music too... Not to mention shake shack is right there to chow down on some burgers after your record store scores.
