What the people say...
The Record Collector reminds me of record stores when I was a kid, minus all of the DVDs and CDs. The outside of it drew me in, as I remember many fond dates of going to record stores with a cute guy. The employees are helpful and usually have an interesting story to tell about owning record stores in the past. I like this place because it has a good selection of blues and jazz at a reasonable price. I come here about once a month; it’s sort of like an escape for me. I’m a huge fan of this place! Check it out!

Record Breakdown
Type of Vinyl: New and Used
Trade-ins? Yes
Pricing: On the higher side. I didn't see a record for less than $5. On average, used records were approximately $15.
Average Condition: The higher pricing is justified. All of the records are in incredible condition. 50 year old records look brand new!
Digging Required? A little. Although they are organized by genre, they are not broken down alphabetically. Plan to spend a few hours shifting through the records.
Great for people looking for: Classic rock, Jazz, Country, Folk, Punk, and rare/collectables.
In My Opinion...
I actually stumbled upon The Record Collector while visiting Bordentown. The retro exterior of the store takes you on a journey to the days where record stores were hot spots, and it was what caught my eye. The inside of the store is organized in a strange fasion. The record shelves are lined along each wall on both floors with cds and dvds in the middle. They have stacks of records all over the two floors that you're welcome to sort through, but they are in no type of order. At the counter, they have glass cases and a wall lined with collectable, expensive records and other collectables. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone whois looking to spend a pretty penny on a really cool, rare reecord. I was tempted to purchase Beatle's album with the Butcher cover for a cool $1200! I really enjoyed my time in the Record Collector. I even got to hold a $250 Ette James "At Last" Record, which was recommended by the owner. In addition to having a pretty solid record selection, they have live bands play most weekends of the month. Like them on Facebook to keep up to date with the latest shows scheduled.
